Following a restructure within the finance function the organisation are looking for a new Management Accountant reporting to the Head of Finance. The role will support the wider finance function and be responsible for completing monthly Management Accounts for providing relevant information to department heads and senior management.
To be considered you must possess strong technical accounting skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders right across the business including interaction & participation with several high value projects.On Offer
The role of Management Accountant will offer a salary of £43,000 - £48,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package. The offices premises are based in Edinburgh city centre and easily accessible via public transport.
You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:
- Producing Monthly Management Accounts
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Monitor financial performance against budget, highlighting areas of concern and propose solutions
- To work with the Finance and wider teams to ensure standard costs are up to date and allow accurate variance reporting.
- Ad hoc product and process costing and other projects.
- Take the lead in the Finance team and challenge on the costing structures and systems.
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Inpit into monthly, quarterly and annual results reporting with accompanying analysis of results for the business.
- Part-Qualified Accountant (ICAS, ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA), QBE or Qualified.
- Proactive self-starter with proven ability to problem solve complex issues.
- Must have sound knowledge and expertise with core IT packages including use of excel
- Excellent communicator and strong team player.
- Presence of character to command respect and build productive and collaborative working relationships at all levels
- Commercial, manufacturing or supply chain backgrounds preferred
