As they continue to grow, we are seeking a talented and motivated Application Engineer to join their dynamic team!Description:The Application Engineer is responsible for preparing customer quotations and providing sales support for industrial automation customers.Primary Duties:· Support sales team as the product expert during customer emails, calls, or visits. Analyze customer applications and recommend solutions to their control system challenges based on our group’s product offering and core competencies.· Meet with customers and conduct site surveys of industrial automation control systems to gain understanding of project opportunities. Gather information needed to work with project engineers/managers to develop solutions to address customer requirements.· Use industry process knowledge and product application expertise to recommend solutions for customers.· Prepare system configuration drawings, commercial and technical proposals by studying system schematics, specifications, plans and related customer documents, consulting with engineers, and other professional and technical personnel.· Present technical/commercial proposals to customers. Follow-up with existing customers and foster new business relationships; supporting multiple locations as required.· PLC products: Allen Bradley, GE, Siemens, Reliance Electric Drive systems: ABB, Allen Bradley, GE, Siemens, Reliance Electric.Qualifications:· Engineering degree or equivalent experience in industrial automation.· Experience working with PLC, AC & DC Drive systems, and HMI products.· Metals processing knowledge is strongly preferred.· Willingness and desire to participate in ongoing training to maintain technical competency in automation products, software and complimentary areas.· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.· Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.Interpersonal and Business:· Must have self-motivation and time management qualities.· An understanding of customer relationships and the interaction within the project· Travel requirement is approximately 10-20% of the time.Secondary Duties:· Be a flexible and adaptive member of the team, occasionally shifting focus to augment or help other projects or teams outside the primary scope of duties.· A desire to continue to learn and adapt to new skills.· Continually improve skills and knowledge to advance within the organization.· Bring new information, ideas, and practices to the team, but also being capable of following direction and orders from management and leadership.Benefits:· 401(k)· 401(k) matching· Health Insurance· Dental Insurance· Vision Insurance· Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability· Employee Assistance Program· Flexible Spending Account· Health Saving Account· Life and AD&D Insurance· Paid Time Off· Vacation Time
