The Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA) is seeking a Human Resources Assistant/Payroll Administrator in Santa Barbara.The position is based in downtown Santa Barbara, with occasional travel to other agency locations throughout Santa Barbara County. This is a unique role with the county’s leading provider of life-changing treatment and services for children, teens, adults, and families struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health conditions. Founded in 1949, CADA is a progressive, culturally sensitive, and highly respected organization for its commitment to helping clients find their own personal path to recovery and lead positive, productive lives that strengthen families and our community.Qualifications:· Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.· Human Resources experience in a non-profit organization.· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.· Experience with HRIS and Payroll systems, preferably APS.· Organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy.· Ability to work as a team player on diverse tasks and meet assignment deadlines.· Good communications skills: both oral and written.Responsibilities:· Evaluate and process recruitment requests for personnel, interns, and volunteers. Screen resumes, maintain recruitment binder, scheduling interviews, processing employment references.· Coordinates and conducts new staff orientations. Prepares new staff orientation packets.· Create and maintain staff personnel files.· Assist with tracking and implementing Employee Performance Evaluations.· Responsible for processing Payroll on a semi-monthly basis. Reviews timecards, enters new employee information and changes into HR/Payroll system, and updates the timekeeping system.· Generates bi-monthly payroll reports, and other payroll reports as needed. Knowledgeable in HR/Payroll system report writing.· Maintain Employee Database.· Attends Human Resources seminars and trainings.
