Performs various analyses to optimize total system architecture. Works to thoroughly address complex defense problems ensuring mission success.Position Responsibilities:Systems Engineering, System Integration, Design Integration Responsibilities May Include:Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfacesPerforms and leads complex analyses to optimize total system and/or system architectureConducts analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, survivability, human systems integration, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, product security (cyber security) and other factors to determine a preferred configurationDefines and coordinates system performance requirements and technical parameters for complex systemsAnalyzes and translates requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specificationsDevelops and documents electronic and electrical system requirementsPerforms and leads circuit design (PWB layout, thermal analyses, power analyses, EMI analyses)Leads development of verification and validation methods, processes, logic, and plans in support of program milestonesLeads subsystem and system level assembly, integration and verification activitiesPerforms and leads software development and software test integrationPerforms and leads testing and validation activities to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirementsEnsures system meets product traceability and configuration management requirementsDevelops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of the requirements management processesContributes to the development of systems engineering principles and concepts as well as advanced systems engineering practicesLeads technical teams to successfully complete multiple aspects of major programs and may function in a project leadership roleSystems and Performance Analysis, Model & Sim, Algorithm Development Responsibilities May Include:Evaluates systems under various scenarios and architectures to determine and/or optimize overall system mission performance in a framework giving insight into performanceDevelops and maintain analysis tools of varied fidelity including modeling and simulation tools to predict performance against evolving threats of current and future defense systemsPerforms systems analyses of the existing system architecture in conjunction with new technologies and concepts for improvements to be considered for future architecturesDevelops, refines and documents key algorithm capabilities to support various DoD customersConducts analysis of multiple targets discrimination for survivability, vulnerability, and susceptibility into a preferred configuration to ensure mission successModel Based Engineering / Systems Engineering Responsibilities May Include:Utilizes Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, processes and architecturesManages configuration, data and work flow of program specific MBSE tools and processesEstablishes protocol / process for integration of engineering tools with MBSETravel may be required up to 10% of the time; domestically depending on business needsThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
