- Lead the design team, guiding every aspect of the design process from inception to implementation, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
- Assume full ownership of the project's design, ensuring meticulous adherence to all specified requirements.
- Oversee the design team and external consultants, ensuring seamless collaboration across all project phases.
- Develop and implement tailored design delivery strategies aligned with project objectives and stringent quality standards.
- Establish streamlined design management processes and overarching strategies for the delivery team's success.
- Manage external design partners, diligently monitoring their deliverables, costs, and timelines to ensure strict adherence to project specifications.
- Develop and meticulously manage design delivery budgets and schedules, providing comprehensive reports on cost implications and adjustments.
- Build client relationships throughout the design phase and beyond, guaranteeing alignment with prescribed requirements.
- Coordinate the design approval process while upholding steadfast compliance with project mandates.
- Provide strategic leadership and unwavering direction to the design management team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Mentor design management staff, nurturing their competencies and fostering professional growth.
- Facilitate robust collaboration between design and construction teams to drive pioneering project innovation and resounding success.
- Maintain and build lasting relationships with all project stakeholders, adeptly managing expectations and communications.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety, compliance, and ethical conduct across all design processes.
- Tertiary Qualification in Architecture or Engineering
- Minimum 10 years in technical management roles, with at least 5+ years dedicated to architecture/design and ideally 5+ years working for a head contractor in the commercial sector in a Design Coordinator/Manager position. The project itself is mixture of D&C commercial and modular new build.
- Extensive experience in multi-disciplinary project design and construction, with a notable focus on complex projects valued at prefably $50 million+
- You must have Commercial New Build project experience, not solely Residential
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial and legislative compliance within design frameworks
- You must have existing experience working in Australia.
