- Share HR front desk duties with another team member, greeting visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Assist HR Generalist in coordinating the employment process for regular FT/PT positions as well as temporary staffing for Nordic Ware's State Fair booth (and assist at the Fair).
- Attend meetings with the HR Generalist and hiring managers to determine job requirements and create/update job postings/descriptions for hourly positions.
- Learn to post positions in Applicant Tracking System (ATS), maintain recruitment records, update ATS, and close out positions when filled.
- Learn to communicate appropriately with applicants throughout the hiring process to ensure a good candidate experience that aligns with the well-known, respected Nordic Ware brand.
- Learn to source candidates for hourly positions using job boards, social media, career fairs, etc.
- Work together with HR and Marketing teams to update Nordic Ware's Careers website and social media.
- Assist the team in creating and updating documentation and checklists for HR processes.
- Work with an interdepartmental team to organize special events for employees (e.g., summer picnic, community garden, community giving, health & wellness activities, etc.).
- Assist team with internal communications, including the distribution of a monthly newsletter and weekly news channel on monitors throughout the plant.
- Assist Safety Manager with safety programs and attend Safety meetings to learn about the importance of safety in a manufacturing environment.
- Assist HR Director and Benefits and Payroll Administrator with other special projects.
- Current or recent enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate degree program in human resources, business, IO psychology or related field
- At least 6 months experience in Human Resources (including internships), Customer Service, or Administrative Assistance with an interest an HR career
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and strong interpersonal skills
- Able to maintain a high level of confidentially and professionalism
- Self-motivated, energetic, optimistic, and interested in learning and continuous improvement
- Proficiency Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and various social media (e.g., Linkedin, Instagram), Outlook for emails and scheduling calendar events. Experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS), a plus.
- An interest in videography or photography with the ability to use or learn to use Publisher and/or Canva.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, handle numerous assignments simultaneously and strong attention to detail
- Creative problem solving, strong customer focus, organizational skills
- Student Member of SHRM a plus
