As part of Munich Re Group, we are a unique organization providing expertise in specialty and marine lines of insurance as well as surety risks and customs bonds with in-house claims solutions.We are seeking a full time Underwriting Assistant, Ocean Marine to join the Shared Services division to be a hybrid employee in one of our US offices (Schaumburg, IL, New York, NY, Charleston, SC, Miami, FL, Long Beach, CA) reporting to Vice President, Ocean & Inland Marine Operations.Job Profile
  • Accurately enter new and renewal submissions in a timely and accurate manner with the highest level of attention to detail.
  • Review the completeness of submissions as they are received and obtain additional information as defined by procedures or requested by underwriting.
  • Data entry of policy information into company systems
  • Perform underwriting support activities associated with information gathering of new business, renewals, and mid-term changes, as well as electronic file preparation on behalf of the Underwriter.
  • Understand and follow the policies, procedures, and business processes as defined in departmental service standards or as provided by your supervisor.
  • Maintain a full understanding of business process and service standards.
  • Maintain strong positive working relationships with key members of other departments and foster mutually beneficial communication and collaboration across functions.
  • Follow all company procedures and guidelines and complete all required courses related to the same as designated by the Company.
