Scrum Master - JL3 Location: Bangalore You will serve as a Scrum Master for one or more Agile product teams in the Plan and Book section of Maersk.com. The Scrum Master is accountable for establishing Scrum and helping everyone understand Scrum theory and practice, both in the teams and the organization. The Scrum Master is accountable for the Scrum Team's effectiveness. The scrum master also helps the team collaborate effectively, resolve conflicts, remove impediments, and improve continuously. The Scrum Master serves the Product Owner and the organization in several ways, in relation to effective backlog management, help establish empirical product planning and facilitate stakeholder management as needed in addition to leading, training and coaching the organization in its Scrum adoption. We would like to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following: . At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master for Agile/ Scrum teams. . Solid written and verbal communication skills. Able to articulate complex situations to be understood by both technical and nontechnical personnel. . Ensure regular sprint cadence is followed and understood such as Sprint planning, Sprint review, Sprint retrospective, Daily Scrum. . Coach team members in effective use of Agile ways of working and drive continuous improvement of Agile adoption/maturity, ensuring improved visibility of work, utilization of appropriate tools and ultimately reach the Sprint goals. . Identify and mitigate impediments that can delay the completion of deliverables. Support team in overcoming those impediments and/or mitigate team-related conflicts when they arise. . Support the Product Owner to prioritize and maximize value/outcomes delivered by the team. . Support Product Owner to facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration with leadership and other stakeholders outside the team. . Support Product Owner to ensure that project work is prioritised by business value and that results align with key objectives. . Mentor and Coach teams in agile processes and tools and ensure to develop vertically sliced User Stories. . Facilitate process of deciding which stories will be included in each sprint through understanding of the team's velocity and support team members to define and allocate which stories they will work on. .Hold team accountable to 'definition of done' to ensure quality of deliverables. . Facilitate retrospectives to identify ways to improve team's delivery, and lead effective implementation of changes, alongside coaching team to higher agile maturity. . Create a culture of transparency by making work visible, and support others to visualise progress through tracking velocity and sprint / release progress. . Shielding the team from external distractions and interferences. . Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on problem solving. . Support the evolution of the organisational Agile maturity, working with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to further embed Agile ways of working and culture throughout the organisation. . Work with leadership team to coach on Agile maturity and encourage positive behaviours and interactions. . Natural curiosity for gaining business acumen in Transport & Logistics industry and assigned products. . Take a proactive approach to continuing your own growth as a Scrum Master. Must haves/Qualification : . 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master (Scrum Master certification preferred), with deep understanding of Agile development processes and methodology. . 7+ years with IT background . 3+ years of experience with Agile boards in e.g., Atlassian JIRA, Confluence. . Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience engaging and influencing cross functional teams. . Experience of working with distributed global Agile teams .
