The Oil Change Technician at Garlyn Shelton Auto Group in Temple, Texas is a full-time position within our auto industry. This individual contributor role is for a skilled and experienced technician who is responsible for performing oil change and basic maintenance services on customer vehicles. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for the automotive industry.Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive compensation package of $10 to $20 per hour based on experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement within our company.Responsibilities:
- Perform oil changes on customer vehicles following manufacturer recommendations
- Complete basic vehicle maintenance services such as tire rotations, filter replacements, and fluid top-offs
- Keep track of all completed services and properly document in company records
- Conduct basic inspections of vehicle components for wear and tear
- Identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs or services to customers
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in automotive technologyRequirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as an oil change technician or in a similar role within the automotive industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and repair techniques
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to lift and maneuver heavy objects, as well as stand for extended periods of timeEEOC Statement:
