- Supports the planning, design and execution of system testing on simple to complex implementations.
- Use the plan to assess functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other systems.
- Work collaboratively within the IT department and business units to execute and validate test cases based on system requirements.
- Have a very strong working knowledge of manual and automated testing processes, and QA tools.
- Ability to work independently on his/her own projects, but also assist with the mentoring and training of more junior members on the QA team.
- Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports on multiple projects of varying size.
- Identify opportunities to prevent bugs from occurring in the first place.
- Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process.
- Review user requirements documents to ensure that requirements are testable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology or related area, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- A minimum of five years’ experience. Some experience in healthcare is preferred.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
