- Review area of component/pump and determine quantity and application of paint
- Be able to mix paint and complete painting tasks according to the operation procedure.
- Safely prepare surfaces to be painted, which may include cleaning solvents and compressed air
- Apply paint to exterior and interior surfaces as required using brushes and/or sprayers
- Adhere to safe work habits, rules, and practices, including the correct use of tools, machines, safety devices and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of paint equipment and perform necessary housekeeping and safety duties as required.
- Perform other duties assigned including willingness to move to other areas as needed.
- Responsible for quality of work performed; work efficiently and to required specifications with minimal supervision.
- Must wear safety protection according to company policy.
- Exhibit behaviors that contribute toward an environment that encourages teambuilding, decision making, problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Read and understand both verbal and written instructions.
- Participate in CIP activities as required and comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures.
- 2+ years’ experience in general mechanics or specialized training preferred
- Ability to read and interpret instructions and drawings
- Ability to read and comprehend precision measuring equipment
- Ability to use a wide variety of hand, power and air tools
- Ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions
- Good mechanical ability and manual dexterity is essential (able to stand for long periods of time)
- Ability to obtain respirator certification
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Must have a strong work ethic and be able to follow proper safety procedures and guidelines
- High School Diploma or GED
- Computer skills preferred
