- This key position will be responsible in providing Reporting, Analytics, Insights, and Recommendations to support the Global Finance and Marketing organizations based on a strong business understanding and acumen.
- This position acts as an internal consultant, evaluating business proposals and performances, conducting accurate and timely ad-hoc analysis and instituting success criteria to influence decision making.
- Responsibilities range from efficient and effective, massive, and complex data validation, manipulation, and analysis to presentation of key business insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Responsibilities also include the development of effective, strong relationships with key stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Business Intelligence/IT teams)
- The Ideal candidate will have been a manager who understands Corporate Strategy, KPIs for success, conducts financial analyses to size and measure outcomes and most importantly does not shy away from extracting and manipulating data to uncover patterns.
- Own and execute complex analysis of business problems and hypothesis. Build reporting and forecasting models to bring forth insights using complex analytical and statistical techniques.
- Lead Digital Analytics roadmap at Global level, by developing frameworks & statistical models for digital media ROI measurement, marketing mix modelling, Media spend optimizations.
- Evaluate new BI tools/ Platforms to better understand the trends in competitor’s Digital user engagement and marketing channel execution.
- Measure, mine, and generate insights from digital customer engagement data within all digital channels, including website, app, paid media, social media, and email campaign datasets.
- Lead, mentor a team of analysts and drive the implementation of advanced Machine Learning algorithms to enable better data driven decision making across the org.
- Build, extract, transform, visualize, and analyze large scale datasets to provide analytic and reporting solutions to help support the company initiatives.
- Build dynamic and visually rich dashboards involving customizations & out of the box features using Tableau / SAP Business Objects/Power BI
- Ability to prepare and present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior management in power point.
- Develop key hypothesis, execute on Pre-Post, A/B experimentation tests and measure effectiveness of business actions and marketing campaigns.
- Perform data mining using statistical techniques multivariate regression, Cohort analysis, time series forecasting, etc. to communicate actionable insights to business stake holders.
- Provide analytics support to Global Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams in answering ad hoc questions, providing training on reports and dashboards, and providing and providing proactive analytics.
- Lead end to end month-end close, forecasting, reporting and annual budget planning. This includes monitoring operational trends and key efficiency/effectiveness metrics, including spending, headcount, capital expenditures/investment, leases, and vendor investment against plan/forecast assumptions.
- Consolidate financial forecasts/budgets/data for Global Marketing team and rationalize inputs to ensure adherence to Corporate FP&A’s guidelines and deadlines and deliver reporting and variance analysis as needed. This also includes ensuring monthly financial results are stated accurately and in accordance with GAAP including preparation and posting of journal entries for expense.
- Prepare quarterly/monthly reporting packages for Executive, Finance and Marketing teams.
- Demonstrated strong analytical, quantitative, and abstract thinking skills in complex types of analyses.
- Demonstrated ability in building and presenting professional presentations and recommendations to senior management. Ability to “tell the story” in a concise, professional manner. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Manage and own financial planning and analysis for a BU or a function
- Ability to develop and maintain business relationships with various team members across the organization. Strong cross-functional skills with Analytics/IT teams required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision under high pressure, be results oriented and be able to work in a flexible and fast-paced environment.
- To be results-driven and pragmatic – understand that data is only valuable when it is translated to actionable insights for the business.
- To be curious & analytical – you must be able to ask the right questions, identify relevant sources, combine data sets, crunch numbers and present actionable conclusions.
- Able to navigate through Data in a complex environment using SQL/ Python/R or other advanced statistical packages.
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics/science/ information technology and/or equivalent experience; Masters’ degree/equivalent in business or analytical field preferred
- 7+ years of experience in Finance/Marketing/Business Analytics and/or other reporting/analytical functions, ideally already in a managerial role.
- Strong skills developing and presenting analysis and recommendations in Power Point are required.
- Strong database query (SQL)/Hive QL and MS Excel modelling skills are required (Ability to model out data first in excel is usually recommended when developing new models)
- Experience supporting Finance partnering with marketing strongly preferred.
- Strong skills in building scalable reports, dashboards, and scorecards in Power BI, or Tableau preferred.
- Financial, operational, and data-driven analytics using Excel pivot tables.
- Working Knowledge of statistical analysis and tools R/ Python is required.
- Experience with Web and App analytics platforms strongly preferred.
