- Safely load and unload explosive materials.
- Properly identify and label material containers in accordance with legal requirements.
- Maintain all shipping containers to ensure the safe and secure movement of materials.
- Keep daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports up to date.
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Operate forklifts or be open to training for forklift certification.
- Accurately manage and log material Net Explosive Weights (N.E.W.).
- Prioritize Health and Safety as the top priority by adhering to all safe work practices, policies, and processes, and consistently acting in a safe manner.
- Be available for overtime on Fridays and Saturdays as needed.
- Pull, assemble, package, label, and ship Explosive/Non-Explosive materials in accordance with quality paperwork, pack slip, and current 49CFR/IATA regulations.
- Obtain certification in 49CFR/IATA for shipping and handling dangerous goods as required.
- Utilize FedEx and UPS Ship Manager hardware/software for product shipments.
- The ideal candidate is someone who holds a Commercial Driver's License (Class C- CDL) with a Hazmat Endorsement (Class C- CDL) or is willing to obtain one upon hire.
- Must have and maintain a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in handling hazardous materials is a plus.
- Flexibility in schedule with the ability to travel regionally.
- Proficiency in using hands-free mobile devices.
- Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Capability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
- Display competent dexterity to ensure the safe handling of explosive devices.
- Education Required High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience Required: 2 years related hazmat experience.
