No SolicitingJOB DESCRIPTIONThis position is responsible for performing setup, troubleshooting & operations of multiple automated robotic applications in cells within a production facility, as well as implementing best practices and proactively assess robotic applications.RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform robotic programming (for robots such as Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, and Motoman), including the following:Simulation programsRobotic dressRobotic safety setupAbility to lead a job and delegate tasksDevelop and implement standard engineering practices and provide detailed documentation upon project completionDevelop logic for simulation programsSetting up communication to PLC and auxiliary devicesSupport the installation of tooling in the customer plantEnsure that all off-line and on-line robot programs developed are efficient and that they adhere to the standards and needs of the customer and GableTekIntroduce programming improvements in robotic systems that are consistent with customer changes or manufacturing needsImplement application requirements related to robotic welding, joining, sealing and material handling functionsIdentify spot welding locations as defined by weld data sheets and other technical dataDe-bug, tryout and verify I/O signals and interference zones in the systemMaintain frequent communication with mechanical and controls design personnel, as well as with manufacturing personnel, throughout the entire programming, dressing and tryout phases of installationProvide complete documentation of the robotic procedure, including a printout of robot path programs and all associated data fieldsLead training of robot end users through the provision of instruction, advice and feedback to minimize downtime and enable users to quickly achieve full productive capacity while remaining compliant to established regulatory and customer safety protocols and regulationsRepresent GableTek at customer locations, using results-driven problem solving skills and techniques while promoting GableTek interests and maintaining a strong customer focusREQUIRED SKILLS FOR THIS POSITION:3-5 year’s work related experienceHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentTechnical Certification in robot programming preferredGood understanding of mechanical systemsKnowledge of MIG and spot weldingAbility to read schematics and other drawingsSelf-motivated and hands onAbility to follow written/verbal instructions and meet deadlines with minimal supervisionKnowledge of at least one of the following robot systems (Fanuc, ABB, Motoman)Experience with Microsoft Office ApplicationsStrong written and oral communication skillsABOUT GABLETEK:GABLETEK strives to develop partnerships with our customers, while providing the highest standard of commitment, quality, professionalism and customer satisfaction.GABLETEK understands productivity and efficiency play key roles in an efficient production environment.
