In this work environment, all team members are part of a community and appreciated by the people they work with – residents and coworkers – every day.SummaryDirects the day-to-day operations of Lutheran Senior Services Private Duty thru supervision of the office staff, nurses, nurse aides, companions and live-ins and any other personnel involved in direct client care.Responsibilities1. Supervises private duty staff which includes client care coordinators, staffing coordinator, billing and payroll coordinator, nurses, certified nurse aides, nurse aides, companions, beauticians, and live-ins2. Operates the agency in accordance with the established policies and procedures3. Prepares written policies regarding the duties and activities of the staff4. Remains available to be reached during hours of operation5. Serves as the on-call person when needed6. Coordinates and/or provides for monthly staff in-services7. Coordinates bi-weekly office staff meetings8. Maintains qualifications of agency staff9. Maintains current licenses of professional staff where applicable10. Develops and implements the budget11. Implements the annual client satisfaction surveys.12. Oversees and/or provides on-site in home evaluations of nurses, certified nursing assistants, nurse aides, companions, beauticians, and live-ins13. Attends staff and organizational meetings as required14. Communicates with Facility Administrators on an ongoing basis in regards to prospective clients and current clients of LSS Private Duty Agency15. Communicates with other LSS In-Home Services staff to coordinate services. (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.)16. Reviews and updates agency policies and procedures at least annually17. Makes recommendations for changes to the Administrator as needed18. Hires, disciplines, and fires employees in accordance with LSS policies and procedures19. Trains and orients staff to agency policies and procedures20. Evaluates employees in a direct reporting relationship within three (3) months after hire and annually thereafter21. Provides other supervisory functions as directed.22. Maintains liaison with community groups, professional organizations, and other agencies.23. Prepares reports and statistical records as required24. Assures that all documentation is appropriate for billing25. Remains current on all private duty regulations where applicableQualifications, Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.1. Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred2. At least two years management experience in home health or private duty setting3. At least two years home health or private duty experience4. Knowledge of private duty industry5. Experience in use of computers6. Excellent communication skills7.
