- Translate technical communications to non-technical messaging for various internal and external audience types, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and relevance.
- Work closely with multiple security project teams to provide communication and transformation support for key enterprise-wide initiatives, including but not limited to:
- - Cybersecurity awareness campaigns
- - Implementation of new security technologies
- - Incident response and crisis communication
- Develop and implement communication plans and templates that align with organizational goals, project timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Corporate Communications, IT, legal, compliance, and human resources, to ensure consistent messaging and alignment of communication efforts.
- Monitor and analyze communication effectiveness, soliciting feedback from stakeholders and making adjustments as necessary to improve clarity and engagement.
- Build and maintain a strong network across all security teams and external business units, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a unified approach to information security communication.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to information security communication, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on communication strategies and tactics within the Information Security Group, providing guidance and support to team members as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, information technology, or related field
- Proven experience in communications, marketing, or related fields, with a focus on cybersecurity or information technology preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear and compelling messaging for diverse audiences.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and building relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Knowledge of information security principles, practices, and technologies preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and communication tools/software.
- Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or equivalent are a plus.
- Associates are required to relocate to the Charlotte region to foster collaboration and facilitate improved testing and support.
- Lowe’s supports a Flex Office concept where in-person work is required two days per week at the Charlotte Tech Hub.
- Most business meetings are planned around the Eastern time zone.
