Our nursing staff demonstrates their knowledge, critical thinking, and judgment. Services provided by the RN include; supervising care delivered, coordinating plans of care, and providing education for patients/families.Unit Description:The Gateway Emergency Department (ED) is a Primary Stroke Center. This 38-bed unit includes 3 critical care rooms, multiple isolation rooms, one decontamination room, one OB/GYN exam room, one SANE room, discharge lounge, and a diagnostic x-ray suite. The ED includes a reception area, two triage bays, a patient/family lounge and a “quiet room”.
