This position is responsible for all aspects of project accounting including, but not limited to, the following:Project Accounting:
- Produce accurate and timely invoices (with supporting documentation) for our project's customer - invoicing occurs multiple times each month
- Review, approve, and submit subcontractor invoicing
- Produce monthly financial reporting for the project (P&L, A/R, Cycle Count, etc.)
- Provide accurate and timely reporting of sale and inventory information, analyze project cost data, and ensure integrity and accuracy of the project's month-end accounting close process
- Review monthly gross profit reports and investigate variances (as necessary)
- Prepare ad hoc reports and complete special projects (as requested)
- Assist and engage customer and team members with technical questions
- Assist senior management with administrative requests
- Semi-Annual reconcilement of the site's capital equipment inventory
- Coordinate with the project's operational leadership in tracking and accounting for the spare parts inventory (from procurement through disbursement/allocation to the asset)
- Review inventory internal controls, making recommendations as needed for process improvements
- Assist in the execution of the quarterly physical inventory count
- Audit and review inventory shrinkage, as needed
- Analyze and review inventory variances
- Review and generate obsolete/slow moving inventory schedules
- Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
- Assist, as needed, with warranty tracking and reimbursements
- Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience in accounting, inventory accounting, or cost accounting - Preferred
- One (1) to Two (2) years’ experience in a construction project environment, equipment maintenance or manufacturing environment - Preferred
- 2- 3 years accounting or 5+ years in bookkeeping - Preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise (or similar mid-level ERP/Accounting package, i.e.: MS Dynamics) - Required
- Experience with NetSuite accounting software a plus
- Analytical and strategic thinker – hands on and "out of the box" thinker
- Excellent organizational and time management skills in order to effectively meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Skilled in financial and numerical analysis
- Proficient with PC's, especially proficient working in Microsoft Office, advance user of MS Excel
- Experience managing to a month-end closing schedule
- Strong interpersonal skills; must be a team player and customer service oriented
- Motivated, "self-starter", able to work independently
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance - Preferred
