Description :A Certified Medical Assistant in Screening & Prevention is responsible for data entry, data verification and procedure scheduling for Anchorage based customer-owners. This position is largely telephonic and computer-based. This position does not involve direct, hands-on customer-owner care.This position has two (2) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and
independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated
ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people
who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian
people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough
understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to
ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental,
emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to
achieve wellness through health and related services:Minimum Qualifications: * High School diploma; OR GED.2. Certification as a Medical Assistant.
3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS
as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as
required. * Obtain Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) approval within three (3) years of theProvisional Provider Application approval date with the State of Alaska.Additional Qualifications for Certified Medical Assistant II:
