ChefAre you an experienced Chef with a passion for food?The HomeRosevale Lodge Care Home is a purpose built nursing and residential home situated next to the River Lagan and close to Lisburn Town centre with access to local shops as well as bus and train services. It caters for up to 68 residents living with Dementia. They have two units that are separated into Dementia Nursing and Dementia Residential units. Rosevale Lodge Care Home has a long-standing reputation for the delivery of high-quality care in the local community. They endeavour to maintain the personal dignity and individuality of residents and you can be sure of a warm welcome when visiting.The RoleThe food our residents eat plays a key part in the care we offer and as a result, the role of Chef is essential in our mission to provide excellent care. The Chef is responsible for menu planning, meal preparation, kitchen management and ensuring compliance with the necessary regulatory standards.This is a leadership role, managing the kitchen team in addition to working closely with the care teams and management of the Home. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
A minimum of 5 years' experience as Chef or a similar role
Hold an advanced Food Safety certificate
Qualified to NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Management or NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Professional Cookery/ Food Safety or equivalent
The ability to manage a small team, ensuring the kitchen provision operates in line with company expectations, the necessary standards and regulations
The Right to Work in the UK

Desired Criteria

An understanding of the nutritional needs of the elderly
Previous experience in care home settling
Have knowledge of HACCP, COSHH and Health and Safety, updating this knowledge regularly
Capable of planning nutritious meals, taking into account specific dietary requirements as well as have an understanding of IDDSI modified foods
