QC Inspector - 2nd Shift

- Perform precise and timely inspection of incoming, in-process and finished material and components according to established procedures.
- Perform accurate physical, functional, and visual inspection of packaged, manufactured and returned components as per procedures, protocols and/or specifications.
- Is adept in utilizing pin gauges, rulers, micrometers, snap gauges, calipers, microscopes, toolmaker scope, and automated optical measurement (vision) systems.
- Communication with engineering and manufacturing personnel for dimensional and verification testing as required.
- Complete accurate documentation of inspection and testing following good documentation practices, and report inspection findings including non-conformances.
- Works closely with production staff to maintain smooth operations through adherence to procedures and all applicable regulatory standards. Verify all documentation submitted with products and engineering protocols to be inspected are completed and filled out per cGMP regulations and procedures.
- Performs activities related to quarantining of products including transferring, logging, and securing until released by Quality Assurance.
- Performs material status changes and computer transactions in ERP system including traceability of all components, subassemblies, and finished goods.
- Assist in reviewing Certificate of Compliance and/or Analysis when directed.
- Initiates nonconforming material reports or receiving rejection notices for all items not meeting their appropriate specifications.
- Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
- Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities/duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus 6+ months of related experience in a manufacturing quality-controlled environment.
- Mechanical inspection background is preferred.
- Ability to use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc., is preferred.
- Attention to detail is a critical qualification.
- MS Office Applications, FileMaker Pro, and Internet.
- Prior experience using Keyence, RAM, and Starrett inspection instruments.
