Flagger position for asphalt road construction crews in Venango, Clarion, Forest, Warren, McKean, and Jefferson counties. This is a union position.
Main Responsibilities
Perform all work in a safe manner, maintaining an excellent safety environment
Participate in daily safety huddles
Set-up and take down temporary work zones efficiently
Optimal traffic control in and around work zones (flagging) crafting a safe environment for traffic and onsite workers
Assist in backing and dumping of tri-axles and milling machines
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Skills
Perform tasks efficiently
Build professional relationships that develop excellent teamwork
Must be safety conscious
Physical Requirements
Able to work long shifts - up to 7 days a week when necessary
Must be willing to work night shifts when applicable
Must be capable of long periods of standing / walking / moving without sitting
Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Must preform tasks while working in various seasonal climates
Able to complete tasks with frequent bending, twisting, scooping
