Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.Assessment - An RN uses a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze data about a patient, the first step in delivering nursing care. Assessment includes not only physiological data, but also psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and life-style factors as well.-Initial assessment

Assessment data, problem identification, and goals are written in the patient's care plan so that nurses as well as other health professionals caring for the patient have access to it.-Establishing daily goals with the patient and family

License Required: Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona Licensed in 30 days
Certification Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association and others as required by individual departmentPreferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or others as required by individual departmentEDUCATION
Required: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.

Required: NONE#LI-TW2Responsibilities:The RN provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided. Assumes responsibility for coordination and planning of patient care within the prescribed medical regime. Administers all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy. Performs and fulfills all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster. Responsible for knowing the Hospital's emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to the Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.Qualifications:Education:Required: Graduated from a state approved school of nursing or an accredited school.
Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in NursingExperience:Preferred: Recent acute care experience.Certifications:Required: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR.
