- Performs electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment troubleshooting and repair
- Measures, analyzes, and calibrates instrumentation/equipment for setup and check-out.
- Reads, interprets, and creates equipment wiring schematics.
- Supports test and maintenance of test systems with an understanding of the logic of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Performs test equipment installation and environmental set-ups.
- Data processing concerning equipment specifications, and company or customer requirements as required.
- Understands customer specifications to confirm operations according to necessary regulations to ensure engineering quality.
- Works under minimal supervision to repair, adjust, and maintain Test Engineering equipment, machinery, or instruments to ensure reliable functionality and compliance with process and safety specifications.
- Develops and troubleshoots electrical systems from minimal information and cooperation with engineering and other internal customers.
- Ensures proper functioning of equipment through ongoing inspection and maintenance.
- Conducts equipment inventories and arranges disposal of obsolete equipment.
- Maintains and repairs test panels or test boxes.
- Troubleshoots and repairs printed circuit board to the board level.
- Supports complex problem solving for engineering teams.
- Supports technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation effectiveness of test systems.
- Assist engineers in creating procedures and work instructions for operation of equipment, machinery and instruments and identifies updates as needed.
- Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
- Travel up to 15% of the time
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here:
- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
- Able to practice electronic software control use and modification.
- Fine electronics soldering experience
- Schematics experience is required
- Ability to use common hand tools.
- Experience with the National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E.
- LabView, WatView, Daisylabs, a plus
- Light mechanical knowledge used for setting up environmental tests.
- Experience in electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment troubleshooting and repair
- Experience maintaining and repairing test panels or test boxes.
