- Supervise and support the work of others and mentor junior level engineering and design/drafting staff.
- Coordinate and manage execution of projects with other disciplines, office personnel, and management consultants.
- Develop planning and design projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare construction packages (including all deliverables) for the engineering, procurement, and construction of water systems for clients.
- Create cost estimates and project schedules, complete design tasks within budget and on schedule.
- Oversee detailed engineering calculations, analysis, and design software to solve complex challenges.
- Develop high quality deliverables for clients (technical memoranda, reports, presentations).
- Leverage work experience and client relationships to win new projects, in collaboration with Principal-level staff.
- Collaborate with our national communities of practice and national subject matter experts.
- Work directly with clients to determine needs and deliver solutions and lead the growth of client relationships with target clients.
- Some travel may be required to conduct project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning purposes or to oversee construction activities, depending on project staffing needs.
- 7 or more years of water/wastewater experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- PE License in Georgia or ability to obtain within one year.
- Project experience including design and construction of water treatment and distribution systems and/or wastewater collection and treatment systems.
- Project leadership Task Manager, Design Lead or Technical Lead experience on projects of various sizes.
- Excellent technical engineering skills in the water/wastewater practice area.
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules and cost estimates.
- Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent technical writing skills. Functional experience with MS Office applications.
- Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field of study.
- Technical expertise and experience with water/wastewater treatment projects.
- Experience with alternative project delivery.
- Knowledge and experience with the local municipalities in Georgia including City of Atlanta, DeKalb County, Gwinnett County, Paulding County, Cobb County, and Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority.
- Active participation in regional and/or national professional association(s).
