Our portfolio spans power, thermal and infrastructure management products, software and solutions, and is complemented by a network of nearly 250 service centers worldwide.We are now looking for a Project Manager to join our team in France!What will you do in our team?
  • Support the sales forces in analyzing site candidates for an ESaaS project: being able to estimate the site consumption baseline, identify the energy saving solutions, estimate the related energy savings in order to prepare a business case draft, through remote or on site auditing.
  • Present and verify the ESaaS business case with the Optimization team Specialists in order to define the required technical detailes for supporting an ESaaS contract proposal.
  • Support the definition of the tools and scope of works to run site surveys and auditing.
  • Supoport the identification of local partners / subcontractors by defining the level of competences and knowledge required to be part of the project
  • Responsible for the execution of the ESaaS project in terms of the main contractual obligations - i.e.full compliance with Contract scope of supply and agreed Technical Requirements, timely delivery and quality as well as pro-active management, monitoring and achievement of the expected profitability of the project itself. Acting as main interface between the Customer and Vertiv.
  • Proper initiation of the Project developing Project Charter, kick-off meetings, Project Documentation and Project Planning.
  • Translating Customer needs/requirements into detailed Project plans shared with Company Functions involved and driving internal execution to meet the targets.
  • Playing a proactive role in problems prevention during the project life cycle by highlighting potential areas of concern and promptly driving other departments in solving issues, which could affect project flawless execution.
  • Coordinate the ordering of the required labor and material to the factory and to third parties to meet the project content and delivery needs
  • Oversee the purchasing activities of the project in conjunction with the Purchasing Manager to ensure respect of project budget and develop cost reduction and cost containment actions.
  • Coordination of deliveries with client and purchasing in order to avoid inventory.
  • Coordination of Vertiv Customer Engineers & / or local subcontractors for site activities, i.e installation, start-ups and regular maintenance visits to the Project Sites.
  • Ensure that the required data are collected from site and made ready for the analysis from the Data Analytics team
  • Responsible of the timeliness, quality and maintenance of the project reports and documentation package (i.e. drawings, specifications, customer requirements, minutes of meetings, certificates, proof of delivery, reports, technical documents, etc.)
  • Developing enduring faithful Customer relationships. Ensuring accurate and timely forecasting of project's revenue/margins.
  • Provide regular communication updates to departmental staff/peers and functions.
  • Raising the invoice requests for a timely billing.
  • To ensure that the company trades ethically and in line with all local, European and US trade compliance regulations and maintain the company's processes such that this is fully achieved.
  • Follow and respect, in all its technical interventions, the environmental guidelines established by Vertiv France, and those that are specific to the client's facilities where the intervention is carried out
  • Frequent interaction with Customer Base, Suppliers and Sub-Contractors, Factory, Engineering, OM & Market OPs.
  • Regular interaction with Sales Department, Service Department, Country Management
  • Occasional interaction with Finance Department
What will make you successful?
  • Educated to degree level in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering.
  • Understanding of control systems (Hardware / Software / Networking)
  • Good knowledge of Precision Cooling and UPS products and solutions
  • Capability in understanding Telecom and Datacenter application segments
  • Experienced in running and controlling high value M&E contracts.
  • Experienced in negotiating with and managing partners / sub-contractors.
  • Numerate and IT literate with an in-depth understanding of business performance software packages. (Essential - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Oracle. Preferable - Autocad, Visio).
  • Ability to understand commercial business contracts and a sound knowledge of contract agreements and contract law.
  • Listening skills and attention to details and the ability to manage a number of tasks/priorities at any given time.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to agreed timescales.
  • Customer Centric behaviour, ability to deal with complex Customers and meet specific requirements when needed.
  • Team player, able to effectively communicate with his/her peers and supervisors. Good influencing / negotiating skills when dealing with project stakeholders
