- Conduct patentability searches and provide opinions on patentability and infringement issues
- Draft patent applications and responses to office actions with a focus on clarity, thoroughness, and strategic value
- Prosecute patent applications before the USPTO, including drafting responses to office actions and conducting examiner interviews
- Conduct intellectual property due diligence for corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and licensing agreements
- Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on patent portfolio management and enforcement strategies
- Stay updated on developments in patent law and industry trends affecting our clients' businesses
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop innovative solutions to complex legal issues
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar and registration to practice before the USPTO
- Minimum of two years of experience practicing patent law, preferably in a law firm or corporate setting
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in a technical field such as engineering, computer science, or life sciences
- Strong understanding of patent law and practice, including patent prosecution and portfolio management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
