The Graphic Design and Production Specialist is a multi-tasking position responsible for sign graphic design and proof production. Will work with production including substrates/media and produce some graphic/signage jobs according to work order specifications within the stated timeline. This person serves as backup to the Production Manager and assists with inventory management. The position is responsible for maintaining a neat and organized work area. Must have Adobe AI experience! Responsibilities: Design - Signage: • Create proofs, layouts, designs, mockups, and art for customer signs and graphics. Operation and Maintenance of Equipment: • As needed, operate plotter, laminator, and wide-format equipment to produce client jobs. • Operate desktop and/or copier scanners as needed. • Operate sign cutters, saws, drills, and other sign-building equipment as needed. • Maintain cleanliness and operation of sign-building equipment to ensure efficiency in production. Quality: • Maintain superior quality on all individual work. • Work with team members to ensure superior quality on all jobs produced. • Keep the work zone tidy and clutter-free. General: • Maintain a positive team-first attitude. • Participate in daily production meetings. • Work with management to reschedule workloads as necessary to meet promised due dates. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. • Abide by center policies/procedures as outlined. Qualifications: • Current driver’s license and clean driver record. • Sign industry experience is a plus. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Professional, upbeat, positive attitude. • Sharp attention to detail. • Keen multi-tasking abilities. • Ability to work independently and as an integral team member. • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse customer/prospect base. Knowledge of design software applications: • Adobe InDesign – current version must have experience and the ability to demonstrate proficiency. • Adobe Illustrator – current version. • Microsoft Office – current version (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • FlexiSign – preferrable current version.
