- Develop lesson plans and teach high school science classes to students in grades 9-12, providing a meaningful and engaging learning experience for all students
- Create a positive learning environment that supports students' social, emotional, and academic growth
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and their families
- Incorporate technology and other resources into lesson plans to enhance student learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide curriculum initiatives and assessments
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Hold a nArizona Department of Education State teaching Certification in Secondary education
- Hold an IVP Clearance card
- Strong knowledge of high school-level science content and curriculum standards
- Previous experience teaching high school science preferred
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support student learning
