Overview & Responsibilities:The Senior Production Accountant must have a solid amount of production accounting experience and be a self-starter, motivated, quick thinking, flexible, and thorough. This is a demanding and fast paced environment requiring proactive and positive thinking and must exercise good judgment, show initiative, and be a team player. The ideal candidate can juggle multiple finance responsibilities and projects with a laser focus on organization and attention to detail while being flexible, transparent and capable of prioritizing shifting priorities. Must possess the ability to anticipate production challenges and address, or bring attention to them before a negative impact. Be a continuous promoter and supporter of a multicultural diverse workplace. This is NOT a union position.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Support Producers, Line Producers, Production Managers, and Coordinators with all financial activities through implementation of various financial processes
  • Track and manage re-classing and cross-brand support through intercompany transfers
  • Accounts Payable processing
  • Approval verification
  • Receipt and invoice reconciliation
  • Accounts Payable resolution support for vendors
  • Work closely with PTP and/or production finance lead for urgent payment requests and guiding time-sensitive financial matters
  • Manage manager's checks issuance process
  • Support in P-Card management, petty cash, coding, and reconciling
  • Facilitate vendor setup within ARIBA system and submit/confirm PO's and invoices
  • Guide and educate, T&E reconciliations for p-cards and corporate cards
  • Field inquiries from vendors regarding invoices, payments, and/or vendor setup
  • Maintain financial data points on the team's shared drive
  • Fulfill other financial duties and tasks as requested by the VP, SVP or MPG
Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience in production accounting
  • Proficiency in MS Office and intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Proficient in Showbiz Budgeting or Smart Start/Time/Accounting or Movie Magic
  • Able to respond and work after business hours on productions and/or attend to urgent and timely issues
Additional Qualifications:
  • Production Accounting experience in commercials/promos preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP, ARIBA, Concur, PSL, or Cashet
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment
  • Professional, self-motivated, results-driven with a “can do” attitude
  • Maintain confidential information

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
