- Conduct ergonomic assessments of workspaces, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and risk factors.
- Analyze data and gather information to develop comprehensive ergonomic recommendations and solutions.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, designers, and other stakeholders to integrate ergonomic principles into workplace design and layout.
- Provide ergonomic training and education to employees and management on proper techniques, posture, and equipment usage.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of ergonomic interventions through follow-up assessments and adjustments as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends, research, and best practices in ergonomics to continually enhance services and offerings.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to clients and internal teams in a clear and professional manner.
- Contribute to the development of ergonomic tools, resources, and guidelines to support ongoing initiatives.
- 2-3 years minimum experience in ergonomics.
- Experience with industrial and office assessments.
- Certification in ergonomics from an accredited organization, some examples are
- Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist (CEAS) from The Back School.
- Injury Prevention, Office Ergonomics, or Industrial Ergonomics from OCCUPRO
- Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) is a plus.
- Proven experience working as an Ergonomist or in a similar role, preferably in consulting or corporate settings.
- In-depth knowledge of ergonomic principles, methodologies, and assessment tools.
- Strong math and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in utilizing ergonomic software and tools for analysis and reporting (REBA, RULA, NIOSH, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree or credentials in a related field (preferred).
- Athletic Trainer (AT)
- Physical Therapist (DPT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Occupational Therapist (OT) or Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed (1-2 times per month, for 1-3 days each assignment).
- Must be able to pass drug screening and background check.
- Fully vaccinated candidates preferred.
