- Provides support to children with Serious Emotional Disturbance individually and in group setting as they develop new skills to increase daily functioning
- Supports individual clients during crisis situations to aid with symptom reduction, stabilization and restoration to their ability to re-join their peers
- Works in a fast-paced environment in conjunction with other staff
- Coordinates with other staff members to facilitate the treatment plan outlined for the client by the managing clinician
- Plan, organize and implement curriculum to support the use of new skills in working with peers, expressing emotions in a healthy manner, and problem-solving obstacles
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of service provisions reflecting appropriate interventions, service types, and progress towards goals
- Provides transportation when necessary to clients
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 10-hour days

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age and at least three years older than the youth.
- One or more years of experience working with children
- Two years’ experience working with adults or children in a health-related field
- Experience working in a KDHE facility
- Within 30 days of employment the employee must have completed Attendant Care on-line training, KHS on-line training, pass KBI, DCF Health Assessment, DCF child abuse check, adult abuse registry, and motor vehicle screens.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance and a dependable vehicle
