Reviews documents such as production schedules and specifications to obtain information, such as materials, priorities, and personnel requirements.
Assists with order entry.
Assists with purchasing.
Compiles schedules and orders, such as personnel assignments, production, workflow, transportation, etc.
Monitors work progress, provides services, such as furnishing job travelers and directs team members to expedite workflow.
Requests and maintains inventory of required materials and supplies to meet production demands.
Calculates figures, such as labor and materials amounts, manufacturing costs, using pricing schedules/calculator.
Maintains document control.
Examines documents, materials, and products, and monitors work processes for completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications.
Completes status reports, such as production progress, customer information and materials inventory.
Confers with company personnel, vendors, and customers to coordinate processing and shipping to resolve complaints.
Performs additional tasks as required by management.
Education and Experience
Education & Experience Requirements:Minimum High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1 year experience in an Expeditor position.
Strong computer skills; literacy in scheduling software.
Must have a good understanding of the manufacturing process and how the scheduled tasks interact with each other.
Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills and time management skills.
Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
