- Patient Assessment:Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, including range of motion, strength, balance, and functional status.
- Treatment Planning:Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Implement a variety of physical therapy techniques and modalities to improve patients' mobility, relieve pain, and enhance functional independence.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on exercises, activities, and strategies to improve outcomes and prevent injury or re-injury.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly reassess patients' progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and communicate with other members of the healthcare team.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to infection control protocols, safety regulations, and ethical standards of practice to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
- Professional Development:Stay updated on advances in physical therapy practice, participate in continuing education activities, and pursue professional certifications or credentials as appropriate.
- Education: Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy or graduate of an accredited college or university with a certificate in Physical Therapy.
- Licensure: Current State Physical Therapy Licensure.
- Current BLS (CPR) certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
