- Problem solve application issues quickly and successfully within SLA’s providing analysis and root causes to business and all levels of management
- Create updated documents based on problem resolution and changes required
- Govern execution on day to day batch and monitoring practices via engagement with team and utilization of governance reports and service now metrics.
- Work with developers ensuring production jobs are completed successfully and status updates are provided
- Participate with Incident Management and root cause analysis, technical issues, problem resolution and suggests improvement plans
- Ensure system documentation is up to date and follows standard operation
- Conduct reviews; ensure Voya standards for infrastructure, security, architecture are met
- Review IT quality projects for production; ensure no stability concerns outstanding
- Review performance results; suggests change requests to improve performance
- Influence technical alternatives to business objectives, using effective communications with customers and stakeholders
- Understand business impacts when production issues occur and completes the tasks required by working OT if required and/or hand-off to the Development team
- Provide weekly/monthly status reporting to management
- Complete code development for enhancements or defects in lower and production region
- Provides support for application maintenance work
- Running cycles production/lower environments
- Fixing abends
- Fixing vulnerabilities
- Providing audit support
- Completing ticket assignments
- Learning new code changes from project team
- Working with CID-Oncall support
- On-call 24/7 based on rotation schedule and expertise; and participate in Sunday maintenance weekend check-outs and report any issues to Application Support Consultant and IT Manager
- Participate in annual DR Test by reviewing DR Plan, providing support during DR exercise and ensuring test is completed within the change window
- Ensure deployment of code changes follow proper channels through Clearcase and that all changes are completed within the change window
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or a directly related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Six years of technical support in a complex (multi-tiered) software development environment
- Experience with end-to-end development and support
- Experience with business systems analysis
- Technical knowledge in one or more programming languages and development tools
- OS: MVS, LINUX/UNIX
- OMNI/FIS knowledge (version 7.4) is a plus
- Programming: COBOL, JAVA
- Databases: DB2
- Data Transfer
- CLOUD computing (AWS, AZURE) is a plus
- ServiceNow as intake tool
- Experience in US Retirement Services with background in retirement product features is a plus
- Experience in development, batch processing, business analysis
- Knowledge in support of licensing and commissions systems
- Issue resolution/problem solving/root cause analysis skills
- Remediation/improvement plan definition and management
- Able to maintain technical documentation and configuration management data
- Able to understand Voya’s standards for architecture, security, infrastructure and solution design/development
- Programming language and development tool experience
- Strong written and verbal communication with all levels of management and business
- Understanding of application/service monitoring methods
