- Conduct skilled physical therapy treatments as per physician’s orders, maintaining necessary communication with the physician.
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries for patients in the physical therapy program.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to address the special needs of patients, aiming for optimal rehabilitation or maintenance of function.
- Contribute to Care Planning meetings and represent the Director of Physical Therapy when needed.
- Keep accurate statistical records of treatments provided.
- Assist in training programs and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Manage the Inter-disciplinary Kardex by recording and updating the plan of care.
- Handle requisitions for supplies and equipment under the direction of the Director of Physical Therapy.
- Fulfill all duties of the Director of Physical Therapy in their absence, including supervision of Physical Therapy Aides and completion of all required documentation.
- A degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
- Valid state license to practice physical therapy in New York.
- Two years of experience in physical therapy is preferred but not required.
- A keen interest in developing physical therapy treatment programs for geriatric, subacute, and adult populations.
- Leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate others.
- Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 (based on experience)
