Key Responsibilities:Credit Evaluation and Approval:
  • Review and approve large and complex credit applications within delegated authority limits.
  • Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to assess the creditworthiness of applicants.
  • Ensure all credit approvals comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Risk Management:
  • Develop and implement credit risk management strategies and policies.
  • Monitor the performance of the credit portfolio and identify potential risks.
  • Provide recommendations to mitigate identified risks and ensure the quality of the credit portfolio.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor a team of credit analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality credit assessments.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with sales, legal, and operations teams to facilitate smooth credit approval processes.
  • Communicate credit decisions and rationale to relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in credit committee meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare regular reports on credit approvals, portfolio performance, and risk metrics.
  • Analyze trends and data to provide insights and recommendations for improving credit policies and processes.
Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in credit risk management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in credit risk management, with a focus on credit approval and risk assessment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit risk management principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis software and credit risk management tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
