The Aerospace and Defense business unit develops a wide variety of multi-function modules, including frequency synthesizers, phased array beamformers, amplifiers, transmit/receive modules, frequency converters, proximity sensors, etc. These products are designed with a combination of SMT and hybrid construction technologies, and they operate at frequency ranges through millimeter-wave.The successful candidate wants to be part of a dynamic team that focuses on the development and delivery of defense-grade electronics while focusing on near-term program commitments.The Technical Program Manager will be responsible for managing projects as part of the engineering team to ensure that the proposed plan complies to the project timeline, budget, and scope. Some of your duties include planning projects in detail, setting schedules for all stakeholders and ensuring the team executes each step of the project. The technical program manager will also be the primary interface between ADI and the external customers for all related program activities.The Program Managers responsibilities include:
  • Drive day to day efforts for the engineering team focusing on the engineering teams required deliverables and milestones for on-time delivery.
  • Communicate key deliverables, issue and opportunities between engineering, operations, quality and supply chain and the lead customers.
  • Manage and prioritize engineering tasks through MS Project, JIRA and Confluence tools.
  • Coordinate with procurement on statement of works, quotations, and purchase orders for engineering materials to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Support engineering design reviews and program reviews by coordinating all cross functional data packages are completed on time to the specified requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring engineering efforts are carried out per the process and procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Managing projects to ensure the cross-functional team adheres to the contractual plan for unit production schedule, budget, resource allocation and customer interfacing.
  • Management of the cross-functional teams with a wide range of skill sets, ensuring roles and responsibilities of all team members are coordinated and executed to ensure successful new product development, program transition from development to production and production sustainment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering, business field or equivalent technical field
  • 5+ years of direct program management/project management experience in an engineering development setting for military-oriented products
  • Experience leading technical projects for product development programs
  • Experience in program management principles, scheduling, budgeting, and practices
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, customers, and management
  • Experience in financial management, procurement, and risk management
  • Ability to engage and influence positive customer outcomes including schedule negotiations, scope change, and professional communications.
  • Organizational skills and time management
  • Demonstrated experience making presentations to internal management and external customers.
  • This position requires you to obtain a government security clearance. To be eligible for a security clearance, you must be a citizen of the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with microwave module assembly and test methods.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, both written and orally
  • Intermediate level of experience with scheduling tools, such as MS Project
