Job Description:About The RoleSUMMARYProvides lending support to Loan Officers and clerical support to the Lending Department.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Accurately inputs and prints loan documents for new loans and renewals using the loan documentation systemOrganizes loan file documents in accordance with loan typePrepares escrow instructions to title company after document preparationSends documents to title company as requiredCoordinates loan closings with Title Company in order to perfect bank’s security interestPrepares funding check to appropriate entity in order to close loanInputs loan information for new loans into bank computer systemAccurately sets up ticklers on the bank computer system or databaseInputs loan changes for renewals of existing loans into bank computer systemResearches customer inquiries as requiredProcesses loan payments and requests for draws on lines of credit as requestedAccurately prepares and updates demand statements from title companies and customersProcesses files for all paid loans, including preparing reconveyances, title and UCC releases and return of paid notes to borrowerTypes refund checks on payoffs as requiredOrganizes and boxes paid loan files and maintains Box ListObtains follow up items such as recorded Deeds of Trust, title policies and titles from the appropriate sources after loan has closedMaintains ticklersAnswers telephone calls for the loan departmentAccurately maintains files in the loan department in compliance with bank procedures, which includes scanningPrepares copies of documents for filing and/or mailingFiles documents as requiredSorts incoming mail to appropriate personnel in loan department * Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.About YouQUALIFICATIONS:
  • Three to five years of similar or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school degree or GED.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Must have prior financial industry experience in loan department
  • Must posse a mastery of the loan process and loan documentation
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes. This job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
