The ideal candidate should possess expertise in heavy or agriculture equipment. The role will entail maintaining, repairing, and working in the field with a wide range of machinery. This includes tractors, harvesting equipment, advanced farming systems, loaders, attachments, and tillage, planting, and seeding equipment, among others. Ag Equipment Technician Responsibilities:
  • Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on heavy machinery.
  • Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
  • Efficient worker able to deliver quality repairs in a timely fashion.
  • Team player and people person who can communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
  • Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
  • Working on a variety of Equipment including but not limited to tractors, combines, sprayers, planters, along with other ag-related equipment.
  • Perform repairs and routine inspections
  • Monitor any change in machine performance to identify potential malfunctions
Ag Equipment Technician Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience performing service repairs.
  • Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair - Ag/Farming background helpful but not required
  • Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Basic Service Technician certification preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate degree preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
