- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and faulty fixtures.
- Install, maintain, and replace plumbing components including pipes, valves, faucets, and toilets.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential plumbing problems and recommend preventative measures.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Troubleshoot HVAC equipment to identify malfunctions and implement repairs.
- Replace filters, belts, and other HVAC components as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
- Handle various carpentry tasks including but not limited to door and window repairs, trim work, and minor renovations.
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, drywall, and other materials.
- Utilize woodworking tools and techniques to fabricate and install custom carpentry pieces as required.
- Conduct routine inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, patching walls, and repairing flooring.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations while performing repairs and maintenance activities.
- Interact with clients to understand their maintenance needs and address any concerns.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service while onsite and during communication via phone or email.
- Educate clients on proper maintenance practices and offer recommendations for enhancing property functionality and efficiency.
- Proven experience as a handyman, carpenter, or maintenance technician.
- Proficiency in plumbing, HVAC repair, and general carpentry techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and structural issues.
- Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools used in plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a vocational or technical training program in plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry may be advantageous.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Stamina to perform physical tasks for extended periods and withstand various weather conditions.
- Manual dexterity and coordination to operate tools and equipment safely.
