6:45am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, daily overtime, some weeknights and weekendsThe basic function of the Small Projects PM/Estimator is managing all commercial and Residential Small Projects Bid jobs or Design Build Jobs to the total satisfaction of the customer. The duties include all the necessary steps to accomplish a quality installation/design at the time agreed upon and at a cost equal to or less than estimated.Required Qualifications:

Desired Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years management related experience.
  • Valid state plumber’s license.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Interface between service and construction departments
  • Handle customer and/or contractor issues as they arise.
  • Estimate small project work – both commercial and residential.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the contract documents (drawings and specifications), phasing plans, mechanical and plumbing systems interrelationships, construction sequencing and project schedule
  • Developing relationships with Contractors, Owners, or Architects to obtain Design Build Work
  • Facilitate problem solving, as may arise, between all subcontractors during construction
  • Lead the plumbing subcontractor installation drawing approval process between the Plumbing subcontractors, Resident Engineer, Resident Technical Officer, Accredited Checker, and the Local Authority having jurisdiction, and assist in the receipt and review of all mechanical and plumbing submissions
  • Log and post all plumbing changes and as-built information on field drawings.
  • Project manage all jobs sold.
  • Schedule jobs and activities to obtain maximum customer satisfaction while achieving company gross margin targets and schedule with field supervisors.
  • Monitor progress on all installation projects.
  • Ensure that all the state and local codes are being met.
  • Coordinate all Installation activities with Field Supervisors
  • Plan and schedule Installation crews to keep overtime at a minimum, and insure that labor and materials are being properly requisitioned and accounted for.
  • Control and reduce unspoiled labor and costs.
  • Assist Installation technicians with problems when necessary.
  • Facilitate special orders, materials etc.,
  • Be available for installers to contact you easily for questions, know whereabouts and progress of crew during the day.
  • Return builder/customer calls.
  • Follow up field status with crew.
  • Ensure all company safety rules are being followed.
  • To participate in regular management staff meetings/sales meetings
  • Follow-up on all quoted jobs/ and keep a log of all jobs sold
  • Assist in monthly billings meetings
  • Call on new customers to develop relationships
  • Must be Computer Literate. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Apple IOS. (Programs to be used in position: Quotesoft Pipe, Fieldwire, Smartsheet, ServiceTitan, Microsoft Office Apps, and more)
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as required to maintain efficient department operations.
  • Review new jobs with plumbers and superintendent; run through documents, specs, submittals, and schedules
  • Ensure signed timecards are turned into accounting at set daily times.
