This role will primarily support system level requirements, architecture, and design to advance our USAF Fighter Trainers (including F-15 and F-22).In this role, the team is looking for a naturally self-motivated person with a clear focus on delivering results. We need someone with a demonstrated capability to steer actions with clarity and assume responsibility for those actions. This person will be asked to tackle challenges and find practical solutions. Experience on a USAF fighter trainer platform is preferred, but any military aircraft trainer experience is valuable.Position Responsibilities:Developing and managing requirements using standard Systems Engineering database tools such as DESE, DOORS, and OSEE, following systems engineering processes and best practicesEvaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirementsAssist in the development of the system architectureDocument design elements (including artifacts such as use cases and activity diagrams)Ensure traceability between requirements and design elementsCoordinate efforts and interfaces between multiple engineering disciplinesUnderstand, support, and apply agile principles, practices, and processesListen and support teams in problem identification, root cause analysis, and decision makingParticipate in peer reviews of requirements, architecture and designsIdentify and recommend process improvement opportunitiesSupport the development of proposals for future effortsThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science5+ years’ experience with all aspects of the SEIT product development lifecyclePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):10+ years' of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience1+ years’ experience with EVM/CAMExperience working with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Department of Defense (DOD) contracts3+ years' experience with standard systems engineering database tools such as DESE, DOORS, and OSEE1+ years' experience in the field of simulation, particularly aircrew (flight) simulators and/or trainersTypical Education & Experience:Mid-level (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Lead (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
