ArtPrize has a history of awarding significant publicly voted and juried art prizes and is listed among the top art competitions in the world.The mission of ArtPrize is to transform the art world through a radically open, global, art competition and cultural experience in Grand Rapids that starts conversation, encourages critical discourse, elevates and celebrates artists, transforms urban space and promotes cultural understanding.Who You Are:The Digital Media Manager works as part of a team to drive content and messaging about our programs, events, stories and initiatives. This team member helps drive the organization's content and messages across digital and video platforms and communications channels. The goal is to effectively describe and promote the organization and its initiatives in support of the ArtPrize festival and competition. This is a seasonal role, supporting the ArtPrize mission up-to, during and post event with opportunity for year-round employment.What You'll Do:
  • Collaborates with the Director of Communications and Marketing, Graphic Designer and staff to develop and implement the organization's communications plan, strategies and tactics.
  • Develops content for organizational communications assets, including website, newsletters and social media channels.
  • Creates and manages ArtPrize content and campaigns including video elements on all applicable social media platforms, particularly Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
  • Develops and executes strategies to grow the ArtPrize social audience and increase engagement on platforms.
  • Monitors social media presence to maintain responsiveness to stakeholders, track the results of social campaigns and continually improve efforts and grow audience based on analytics.
  • Supports implementation of website content, ensuring consistent and up-to-date messaging and integration across all online organizational platforms.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Communications and Marketing, Executive Director and other departments as needed to maintain relevant databases.
  • Collaborates with the Graphic Designer, Copywriter and other team members to manage various communications projects, including the production of marketing materials, fact sheets, special reports and other organizational or project materials.
  • Monitors production timelines and helps to ensure deadlines are met for multiple communications projects.
  • Support the Executive Director and Director of Communications and Marketing with media relations activities.
  • Supports Executive Director and Director of Communications and Marketing and program staff in the development of meaningful program-related messages and materials.
  • Coordinates with communications staff at partner organizations and consulting agencies to support cross promotional efforts as directed by the Director of Communications and Marketing.
  • Stays current with digital media, marketing and communications professional practices and trends. Analyzes market research and analytics to recommend changes to marketing strategies based on analysis and feedback.
  • Supports Director of Communications and Marketing and staff with vendor management, such as photography/videography/print, website maintenance and development.
  • Other duties as required to advance the mission of ArtPrize on behalf of its stakeholders.
