Offer DescriptionJob descriptionThe division of Biophysics is located at , where the team develops some of the world's most used tools for modelling biological systems with particular applications to membrane proteins and techniques for drug design.We are looking for a postdoc to work on development of the computer software GROMACS, related to using molecular dynamics (MD) simulations to study biophysical phenomena. The position includes managing data related to MD simulations, with a special focus on databases. The tasks will include programming in C++, but also applied research and good opportunities for well-cited publications.What we offer

QualificationsRequirements
  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
  • Research expertise in biophysics, especially molecular dynamics simulations.
  • Experience in programming.
  • The work requires excellent command of written and spoken English, since it is used in the daily work.

Preferred qualifications
  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
  • Experience in programming in C++.
  • Knowledge in information management in databases.
  • Experience in distributed software development, such as code reviewing and version management systems, is meritorious.
  • Good pedagogic skills are desirable as well as the ability to inform about research and development work.
  • Experience of developing and leading activities and staff.
