We also provide engineering design assistance and verification, as well as drafting services and we are looking for skilled individuals to join our team!The job summary:Machine parts tolerance based on blueprint requirements with a variety of metals and plastics using CNC machines.While not inclusive, this position will provide support in the following areas of the Operations Department:Programming: Obtain approval prior to changing, editing, or updating CNC programs, and maintain program log as required by management business systems. Sets up mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, selling tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches. Calculate requirements utilizing basic math, geometry and trigonometry when proving part programs. Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specification, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).Machining: Obtain and execute directions from the department supervisor. Monitor and protect the assets of the company and ensure that appropriate tooling is used for each job. Set up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three and four-jaw chucks, vises, tools, various attachments, collects, bushings, cams, gears, stops and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads. Loads feed mechanisms by lifting stock into CNC Machine. Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; notifying direct supervisor for machine repairs. Adhere to all quality policies and meet company quality goals of on-time delivery of completed parts without compromising quality, safety or equipment life.Verification of Product: Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part and sample work pieces; adhering to quality standards. Maintain quality standards by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. Identifies errors and troubleshoots as possible.
