- Please note that, this is a stand alone position, responsible for HR activities of approximately 100 employees across three countries. The HR Manager, will be responsible for providing an operational HR service, to include advice, guidance and support on a range of people issues, including employee relations, to stakeholders at varying levels of the Turner & Townsend business including Directors and Partners.
- Working closely with the HR Lead to deliver the People Plan, projects and the HR calendar to support business strategy.
- Manage a range of employee relations issues, up to and including dismissal.
- Advise and coach Managers on performance management issues.
- Advise and coach Managers on the application of HR policy.
- Have a thorough understanding of employment law; with the ability to apply its principles in a commercial business environment.
- Manage the new joiner process, preparing onboarding material such as contracts and supporting with local inductions.
- Manage the offboarding process.
- Maintain HR system records for people related issues.
- Work closely with the payroll function to ensure accuracy regarding all people related information.
- Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and its practical application
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Able to demonstrate experience across all employee relation disciplines.
- Able to manage time effectively between generalist HR activities and recruitment.
- Process driven, able to manage the HR processes and policies in Mexico and Colombia keep them up to date with any changes in legislation.
- Ensures that decisions and courses of action are consistent with Turner & Townsend’s policies, values and priorities.
- Provides clear rationale and supporting data to justify recommended solutions.
