- Proactive and Reactive Sales: Develop and foster hotel business through direct sales, marketing, prospecting, direct mail, and tours for both guest rooms and event spaces.
- SMART Plan Development: Independently create and execute SMART plan, documenting measurable goals and progress during weekly one-on-one meetings with the DOSM.
- Community Involvement: Engage in local community networking to build relationships and enhance the hotel's presence.
- Market Analysis: Understand and interpret market conditions, trends, and competition, providing insights and recommendations for improving hotel revenue.
- Customer Service Excellence: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring prompt response to client inquiries and efficient handling of bookings.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrate proactive planning, organizational skills, and a keen sense of pricing for departmental efficiency.
- Representation: Be the face of the hotel at industry events, upholding professionalism and character.
- Collaboration: Work with 3rd party booking sites, revenue management, and city convention centers to maximize key city-wide events.
- Goal Achievement: Meet and exceed all monthly revenue and sales call goals.
- Documentation: Record all sales activities in Delphi or similar sales systems for tracking and historical purposes.
- Team Player: Collaborate with the team to ensure the overall success of the hotel's operation.
- Experience: 2+ years in hospitality sales, specifically in a meeting/convention hotel environment.
- Sales Skills: Proficient in sales solicitation, contract negotiation, site inspections/visits, setting up FAM trips, and contract closing.
- Technical Skills: Typing skills, familiarity with software programs including Delphi, PMS systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Analytical Ability: Strong reasoning ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and make decisions to drive hotel revenue.
- Soft Skills: Persuasion, motivation, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
