Process Engineer for Injection Mold

- Performs all responsibilities of process engineer based on previous titles of process Engineer Level 1.
- Equipment control conditions, along with start-up and shut-down procedures.
- Continuous improvement activities.
- Scrap reduction.
- Responsible for processing and troubleshooting of all machines and assisting other areas (i.e. Mississippi or Ohio) in trouble shooting and processing as required.
- Leads and oversees the entire processing project while meeting all customer schedule trial builds and launches.
- Must work in a safe manner in compliance with KNA policies and maintain an awareness of danger to themselves and others.
- Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
- Authorities for an employee are granted by means of work instructions, policies and procedures and/or direction provided by management to meet the requirements of the customer.
- High school diploma + 10 Years Maintenance Experience; or BS Degree in ME, IE, or ET; or AAS in Mechatronics, Maintenance, or Tooling
- Five (5) years' experience and knowledge of injection mold operations with the ability
- to solve problems (root cause).
- Must be able to operate and troubleshoot the machinery, tools, and equipment in the assigned area (i.e. Injection Mold machine).
- Experience working with Windows operating system as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proficient in AutoCad, and/or Solidworks experience.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to write technical reports.
- Proficient at troubleshooting - root cause analysis and problem solving techniques.
- Proficient in forming, automation, and pokayoke processes.
- Knowledge of ISO/IATF.
- Understanding of Injection Mold Tooling to provide input for changes and tool design.
- This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment the noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
- The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds The employee may also be required to work in hot temperatures.
