- Supervise the control of the steam plant, power generation and electrical distribution. Coordinate power production with maintenance activities.
- Enforces safe work practices. Promotes safety awareness and the plant safety program. Ensure OSHA standards, practices, and procedures for lockout/tagout are followed.
- Assists with the coordination, supervision, and execution of forecasted planned, maintenance, and unplanned outages. Ensures that work performed by contractors is planned and progresses as scheduled.
- Refines and administers the established plant qualification packages, and plant operating procedures. Maintains qualification pack completion accounting.
- Cooperates with managers as needed in the daily operation of the plant. Makes recommendations to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Sets crew, employee work, PTO, and training schedules. Prepares necessary plant operation reports as required.
- Assists with plant budget development.
- Must be dependable, detail orientated, and work with all levels of management.
- Promotes spirit of teamwork, positive work environment, and productivity among OPs personnel.
